So says Alex.
I may or may not have swine flu right now. It may or may not be a seasonal flu strain. It may be a severe cold. Who knows. What I do know is that I have flu-like symptoms. And, it's not that severe. Yesterday I took a sick day, and stayed in bed all day, and had a fever, and felt unwell. And today Tim thought I should go to the doctor.
So, kind husband that he is, he looked up doctors that are providers on my insurance. And made the choice from the several listed based on the one that sounded Mexican. Fernandez (I think). So we went into a predominantly Hispanic clinic to be given some anti-congestion prescriptions. The clinic was ghetto, and while Tim accused me of being racist, I told him that I'd like to go to a doctor that can speak my native language and where the lobby is not like an ER and doesn't smell like smoke. That's all.
I also told him that, really, I didn't need to go to the doctor. The truth is, if you have mild sickness (me), even if it is H1N1, then you don't really need medical care. (I don't plan on filling my prescriptions.) I looked it up here.
But maybe I should see a doctor about this partial loss of feeling in my left hand that has been numb for 8 days.
I'm just planning on sleeping a lot, because I'm experiencing the following:
- fatigue
- sore throat
- runny or stuffy nose
- body aches
- headache
- chills

This is very sad -- and since I recently ate at your house I selfishly hope I don't catch what you've got :) but thanks for the food it was delicious.
